The Adventures of Legwarmers

Legwarmers woke up and had a long stretch. He went and had breakfast. Suddenly there was a loud BANG! Scared, Legwarmers ran out through his cat flap and through the gardens and down the street. He ran as fast as he could until he could run no more. He looked around and realised he didn’t know where he was. A little bit frightened he made his way towards some children that were laughing and playing. They were singing and playing in the school yard, and when they noticed him they came over to him and gave him fusses and attention and made him feel better. He was playing with a little girl, and when she went to catch her bus home he followed her. The bus driver noticed him get on and asked the little girl if he belonged to her and she said no. So the bus driver asked the parents at each stop if they owned Legwarmers and nobody did. Legwarmers was enjoying the bus ride, seeing all the houses and trees go by. At one of the stops, the bus driver asked one of the parents to take Legwarmers with them to the local vet. Legwarmers went in the car with the people, to the local vet. He was nervous at the vets, as there was a funny smell, but all the people there were very friendly and gave him lots of cuddles. They scanned him and found a microchip, so they phoned the owners and they came to collect him. Legwarmers was very pleased to see his family and to go home, he'd had a very big day. He curled up on his bed and went straight to sleep, dreaming of his adventures.
